Coffee hour is an opportunity for us to build the bonds of community that also deepen our relationships and get free coffee. Unfortunately, we are in danger of losing it because not enough people are volunteering to host. In order to simplify the process thus encouraging participation we are instituting some changes. As a way to reduce the amount of clean up, we are requesting that travel coffee mugs be utilized. We’ll provide the coffee, you bring the mug, and clean it at home. We will also be providing compostable plates, cups and utensils that along with food waste, will be put in green bags for composting. If you would prefer to have a seasoned partner when you host we can arrange that too. If these changes have enticed you then we have been successful and will be holding an informational meeting on Dec. 14 after the 11 o’clock service for anyone interested.
