CAN Action Carousel
We’re excited to share that our group now has a new way to take climate action together: the CAN Action Carousel! ← Hyperlink bold text to your CAN Action Carousel
Our Action Carousel makes it easy for our group to take climate action. Actions include sending emails to legislators and other decision makers, signing petitions, and learning from articles and videos.
Select the YOUR PROFILE tab to enter the information the Carousel needs to locate and contact your legislators, then click Update Profile. The Carousel will remember your information and which actions you’ve already taken, so you only see new actions when you return.
The Carousel will also keep track of how many actions we’ve taken as a group in the IMPACT section!
You are invited to explore the CAN Carousel an easy way to engage in climate justice in minutes a day! The CAN carousel is not about grand gestures. It’s about taking 5-10 minutes when you can to learn something new, raise your voice, and act for the good of God’s creation. It’s about building a habit of care. It’s about choosing not to look away. And, every article you read and every message you send earns points that turn into FREE trees planted by the EarthLungs Reforestation Foundation in Africa.
There are two equally meaningful ways to participate.
You can take action. In just three clicks, you can send thoughtful, impactful messages to industry leaders and elected officials.
You can also use the Carousel as a learning tool. Each day offers short, curated articles that deepen your understanding of climate science and solutions. Read one! As climate scientist Katharine Hayhoe reminds us, one of the most important things we can do is talk about climate change — and learning gives us the confidence to do that.
On the Impacts tab, you can watch our church’s collective actions add up in real time. We are reminded that we are not alone. We are acting together as Greenfield Presbyterian Church, alongside others across the country who care deeply about creation justice.
If you’ve used the CAN App before, just sign in with the same email, and your points will carry over.
