is a historical novel set in post-civil War West Virginia, focusing on the struggles of a family trying to heal from the war's aftermath. The story revolves around Ephraim Connolly, a Union sharpshooter who suffers a severe head injury that erases his memory, and his wife Eliza, who fights to survive the poverty and brutality of their new reality. Their daughter, ConaLee, navigates her

coming-of-age journey amidst the chaos, seeking her own identity while dealing with the loss of her father, who disappeared during the war. The novel explores themes of resilience, mental health, and the impact of war on personal lives. Everyone is welcome to join the discussion. Everyone is welcome to join the discussion.
