Greenfield's Book Discussion Group is meeting both on Zoom and at church to discuss The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah. It tells the story of Elsa Martinelli, a woman living in Texas during the Dust Bowl era of the Great Depression. Faced with relentless drought, economic hardship, and the threat of losing their farm, Elsa must choose between staying and fighting for survival or leading her family on a perilous journey to California. The novel explores themes of love, loss, survival, courage, and the enduring spirit of the human heart against the backdrop of a devastating period in American history.
