Our fall class will be Christian short stories of Leo Tolstoy. The book is Twenty-Three Tales by Tolstoy (Aegypan Press.)

Leo Tolstoy, the great 19th Century novelist (died in 1910) is mostly famous for his master works War and Peace and Anna Karenina. Lesser known are his short stories, often based on folk tales, with a Christian message. They are charming and challenging and often surprisingly profound. 

 Sessions started September 16. You can join us in person at 10am (Bill Davenport) or with a Teams Link option at 7pm (Stacy Peterson). Come and enjoy this master storyteller, who’s “little” tales for children are in the great tradition of other writers of youth literature (think C. S. Lewis’ Narnia or Madeleine L’Engle’s Wrinkle In Time.) “Easy reading” can often be the deepest of all.
